Have fun in Belo Horizonte

Beloh You will LOVE this place! It has everything you may want - from natural areas (outside the city) to the urban settings. Beings, Savassi is the heart of the nightlife! It has lots of cool places to go to: Flashback (forró), Pop Rock Cafe (nightclub), 17 (for the minors), Stadt Jever (a German bar), 7 & 8 (forró), Liverpool Pub(nightclub), Koyote(bar), Mullan(oriental food), Kauhana(pizza place), Afrodick(jamaican bar) among others that are waitting for you to find them! But savassi isn't the only place that has awesome stuff .you have to come to this city and search for yourselves the best places; the finest bars.nightclubs,etc, are hidden in the city, waiting to unlock the treassure chest! If you are into History and Arts, Belo Horizonte is THE city,check out the Palaçio das Artes (Palace of the Arts); nearly every night there is an exibition, a poetry reading, an independent band giving a show, opera, and the like!

Fortaleza

Fortaleza Fortaleza is the capital of the state of Ceará, and is located on the northeast coast. The city has 2 nice beaches, Praia de Iracema and Beira Mar, and you dont want to miss the Praça do Ferreira, the major square, that has restaurants, shops, movie theaters and many stores. You might want to check out the Museu de Arte e Cultura Popular museum, for a glimpse of folk art and cultural relics. When you are at the beach, you can look for the crab vendor and enjoy some tasty snacks and coconut water or beer.

Vitoria

Vitoria Vitória is a city on the southeast coast of Brazil, and the capital of Espírito Santo. It was founded in 1551, and is the third oldest capital of Brazil after Salvador and Recife. It is close to the big urban centers, circled by the Bay of Vitória, and has mangroves, beaches, granite formations and many small islands. This municipality is made of an archipelago of 34 islands and a continental area, its highest point is the Maciço da Fonte Grande, which is a granite formation 308.8 meters tall, has a tropical humid climate with a temperature range between 30,4ºC and 24ºC. A must see in this place is the Praça dos Namorados, a large beachside park that runs from the yacht club at Praia do Canto to Curva da Jurema near the Shopping Vitória.

Olinda

Olinda__pernambuco__brazilOlinda is located in the north-eastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco, and home of one of Brazil's most famous carnivals. It´s listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its XVI and XVII-century buildings. It has many bars, restaurants, artist and craftspeople studios in its the old-town setting.
Olinda is 7km from Recife and local buses connect both towns. You can visit many interesting places in Olinda, like the Mosteiro de São Bento from1582 and Convento de São Francisco from 1585, very important buildings of baroque Brazil. At the Rua do Amparo you can find restaurants, museums, hotels and art studios.

Florianopolis

Mole_beach_floripaFlorianopolis or Floripa (its nickname) is the capital and of the state of Santa Catarina, and having some of Brazil´s greatest beaches, this city is half on the main land and half on the island. Great tropical climate almost all year, the "cold season" starts in May and ends in September, if we can call it cold at all! Most activities in Floripa are related to water sports, like surfing and windsurfing, having great spots known worldwide and host of a lot of professional surfing competitions. Joaquina and Praia Mole are the best surf locations, and windsurf at Lagoa da Conceiçao. You can find lots of boats that offer trips around the island, taking you for a day trip to the nearby islands and the Fortress there, then you can take a swim by diving of the boat and enjoy the dolphins that are always around, as if they know they are expected. A great place to visit, and definitely a place you will go back.

Pantanal

PantanalThe Pantanal is the world’s largest wetland area, a flat landscape with some rivers, located mostly in the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, but theres also a part of it in Bolivian and Paraguayan territories.
The Pantanal floods during wet season, ending up with an 80% of the area under water, reason enough for having the world´s richest collection of aquatic plants.

Ilha Grande - Big Island

IlhagrandeIlha Grande was discovered on January 6th 1502, and the legend tells a story about a black corsair that sought refugee on the island and was saved by his love for a native. It is 2 hs by ship from Angra dos Reis and it is the biggest island on the bay. A real tropical paradise and in part a natural reserve, the island has some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, many roads that go through the Atlantic Bush that covers the whole island. A forest in the middle of the sea, hundreds of dessertic beaches, and an ecological sanctuary, with 95% of the forest protected. It also has a lot of ship wrecks, testimony of the felonies committed by the pirates at those times, and it used to accommodate prissioners. Now it is a huge touristic center of eco tourism and the relax spot for the higher social classes from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Belem

Nazarethbasilica Belem is the capital of the state pf Para, located in the northern part of Brazil, and along with Manaus, the most important city in the amazonian region. It is also know as the city of the mango trees, due to the large amount of those trees found in the city. It preserves it´s historical heritage and you can enjoy a wonderful architectonic treasures, like the Nazareth Basilica.

Fernando de Noronha

Fernando_de_noronha__vista_aera It is an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, around 220 miles offshore from the Brazilian coast. It is a special municipality of the Brazilian state of Pernambuco.
The main islands of this archipelago, are the visible parts of a range of submerged mountains and consisting of 21 islands, islets and rocks of volcanic origin, the base of this enormous volcanic formation is 2480 feet below the surface.
With tropical climate, it has two well defined seasons: the rainy season from January to August, and the dry season for the rest of the year. The main attraction is the maritime flora and fauna; one can spot sea tortoises, dolphins, albatrosses, among many others.

Porto de Galinhas

Portodegalinhas Porto de Galinhas means Port of Chickens, during the 18th century, when the traffic of slaves was forbidden, "chicken" was the code used to refer to the slaves. Today, this port it's a famous small village of fishermen. Many of the locals still make a living out of the catches they get from the sea, the coconuts which abound in the palm tree plantations, the small commerce businesses. Being close to Recife, is now one of the most important tourist destination in Brazil.
The beach line is 18 km long, all with white, fine grained, clean sand. There is a chain of reefs lining all along the coast. During the lower tide, the water trapped by the reefs forms several natural pools; tourists can swim, dive and feed the fishes.
