When you are in Porto Alegre, you might want to enjoy one of its sunsets over the Guaíba Lake, visit the beutiful church of Santuário Mãe de Deus, which offers great landscape views besides being an interesting architectonic sight. If you like museums, check out MARGS, the local Museum of Art that also has a very nice bistro and the admission is free. Another great place to visit is Moinhos de Vento Park, a beautiful park surrounded by the city's buildings, with a lovely lake, like a nature's oasis in the city.

Porto Alegre is the capital city of Rio Grande do Sul, one of the largest cities in Brazil, and for being a political, economical and cultural center, is one of the most important cities too. It is located at a delta formed by 5 rivers, known as Guaíba Lake, and the city was officially established in 1809. One of the wealthiest cities in Latin America, with a great cultural diversity, with immigrants from all over the world, making this city a great place to visit and explore.
